A 12-Week Self-Paced Herbalist Training
The Way of the Herbalist is a foundational training in elemental herbalism, it is designed to teach you how to understand plants, forage with discernment, and confidently make your own medicine.
This is a self-paced, pre-recorded program delivered over 12 weeks. You can move through the content in your own rhythm, returning to the teachings whenever you need.
Rooted in an elemental framework we learn to see people and plants through the lens of Air, Fire, Water and Earth. This training brings structure and depth to your understanding of plants, individual constitutions and medicine making.
This is not a surface level introduction. It is a grounded, practical, and embodied approach to herbalism. It is an alternative for those considering studying a tertiary degree in naturopathy or herbalism. Herbalism is a way of life, and a lifelong journey.

1
How does this evergreen option differ from The Way of the Herbalist?
This 12-week program is a fully self-paced, pre-recorded foundational training. You can move through the material in your own time and revisit the teachings as needed. It focuses on building practical skills in elemental herbalism and medicine making.
The four-month live training is a more immersive and interactive container. It includes live sessions, direct mentorship, deeper discussion, and a stronger community component. The live version also carries additional accountability, and pathways connected to future in-person offerings.
Both are rooted in the same elemental framework, but the format, level of interaction, and intensity differ.
2
How many hours should I set aside each week to complete the course material?
This training is designed to be spacious and manageable. Most students spend between 2–4 hours per week engaging with the video content and completing the medicine-making practices.
Because the course is fully self-paced, you can move more slowly or more quickly depending on your capacity. You’re encouraged to integrate the learning into your everyday life; observing plants, preparing remedies, and reflecting, rather than rushing through the material.

I have no experience in herbalist or with plants, can I still join?
Yes, this course is a wonderful way to begin your journey into connecting with herbs and the natural world. It is only in fairly recent history that people lost the ability to heal themselves with the plants that grew in their local area and to forage and grow their own food. Industralisation and capitalism has caused a seperation between people and their food and medicine sources. This course will help you to reawaken the intuitive knowledge that has been lying dormant and is waiting to come back to life!
